Energy Link

An Energy Link is a IC2 to BuildCraft energy converter. It takes EU power and converts it to MJ power. In effect, you can use a IC2 power source to power BuildCraft machines. You can directly connect it next to the machine; however, this sometimes does not work so the preferred method is to use a cable and a wooden conductive pipe in the order: IC2 power source cabled to an energy link then a wooden conductive pipe then towards a conductive pipe then to the Buildcraft machine.

Each output side of the Energy Link pulls up to 72 EU/t, which means if you maximise each face, you can theoretically go up to 360 (utilising five faces) or 432 (utilising six faces, although this is impossible). To turn it off, you can use a redstone signal. This is necessary as it will still consume power while it’s turned on if it’s connected to something that is capable of using MJ.

You do not need a redstone engine to power the pipe, as this machine, can in fact, power pipes too.

Energy Link Recipe

The first column requires an advanced alloy, then below a copper cable and at the bottom is a golden gear. The next column is just redstone dust and the final column is the same as the first but instead of a copper cable, you need a wooden conductive pipe.
